With more emphasis on digital content than ever before, nonprofits have a huge opportunity to expand through effective usage of social media. The multitude of platforms and the variety of content they support allows organizations to market like never before- next to free. Hootsuite found that 84% of those who have access to the internet utilize social media. That’s nearly 3.84 billion people across the world. Social media is a tool that, if taken seriously, can change the game for any nonprofit.
2020 was the year that effectively turned the world upside down. The Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy notes that in the United States alone, over 20.6 million people have found themselves without a job after the initial outbreak of the Coronavirus. Compiled is a list of nonprofits who have gone above and beyond to provide relief to those affected by the pandemic.
Boulder-based Techstars has selected Civic Champs to participate in their 2020 accelerator, putting particular focus on helping startups flourish in an ever changing technology landscape. Civic Champs, a software technology company helping to make volunteering a seamless and easy process for volunteers and nonprofits, was one of the startups to apply and be one of 10 accepted to the accelerator.
