About the Speakers:
Ja’Rod Morris is the Senior Director of Customer Success at TechSoup Global. For the past 17 years, Ja’Rod has gained valuable knowledge and insight into corporate culture and performance standards working with Fortune 500 companies and has a wealth of experience in Customer Success. He has held progressive sales and customer success roles with organizations such as IBM, Apple, and VMware. Outside of his professional experience, Ja’Rod also is the co-founder of the National Black Customer Success Professionals Community, Black Men Read, and he is also the founder of Tribe Strategy, a training firm focused on Communication development for Customer Success Professionals.

Susan Tenby has been a pioneer in online community management since 1997, when she launched her first online community for young women with cancer. Susan has worked professionally in the field since 2000, starting as the first community manager of TechSoup. Susan led the San Francisco Online Community Meetup (#OCTRIBE) from 2006 to 2019. Now, as Director of Global Community at TechSoup, reporting into the Customer Success team, she oversees social media, community forums, community-based events and regional and topical meetups and the discussions platform of our membership community, Quad. In her spare time, she consults on social media strategy, does indoor rock climbing, and runs a weekly bar trivia team that she’s very proud of.
